I am currently a Teacher Consultant/Response to Intervention (RtI) Coordinator working closely with K-3rd grade teachers and support personnel providing hands on support and professional development in the area of reading.  I work collaboratively with administrators, reading specialists, Speech/Language Pathologists, classroom teachers and special education teachers developing intervention plans for students at-risk for reading disabilities.  I am also a Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation Team member who evaluates students for Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and other areas of special education eligibility.  My focus is using assessment data to guide classroom instruction as well as intervention for at-risk learners.  I hold a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Central Michigan University.  I am a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.

I live in the mitten state (that would be Michigan– not Wisconsin) with my husband and three teenage children.  I absolutely love living in Northern Michigan where we enjoy participating in recreational activities year round!

A.J. attends Michigan State University, Kassie attends Central Michigan University and plans to major in Communication Disorders and Lizzie is home with me for one more year.  Yes, I will have three in college- YIKES!
