Hockey Goal! Multiplication
It’s always fun to incorporate students’ interests into learning activities. The Make, Take & Teach Goal! activity is a great way for our little hockey fans to practice multiplication facts to 10. To play this game, students take turns choosing hockey pucks and solving the problem. Choose a “goal” puck and the player can pick a few more pucks, choose the “penalty” puck and all the pucks must be placed back. This game is perfect for either small group instruction or as a math center activity as it allows for both differentiation and multiple opportunities for response. There are 126 hockey pucks with multiplication facts to 10.
