The Make, Take & Teach Home Run! activity for consonant blends will certainly be a favorite with your sports-minded kiddos. When you download the Home run! activity you’ll receive 139 baseballs containing words with common consonant blends. To play the game, students take turns picking balls and reading the words. If a player chooses a “stole a base!” ball, he/she can pick 3 more balls. If a player chooses a “strike” ball, all of the balls must be put back into the pile and play resumes. The player with the most balls at the end of time wins the game. This activity is ideal for either independent centers or as an activity for small group instruction.
The baseballs are printed single-sided to double-sided.
