Soccer Goal! R Controlled Vowels

Is soccer your game? Or maybe you have students who love to play soccer. It’s always fun to incorporate students’ interests into learning activities. The Make, Take & Teach It’s a Goal! activity is a great way for our little soccer fans to practice reading words containing r-controlled vowels. When you download this activity you will receive 96 soccer balls with words containing r-controlled vowels. To play this game, students take turns choosing soccer balls and reading the words. Choose a “goal” ball and the player can pick a few more balls, choose the “red card” ball and all the balls must be placed back. This game is perfect for either small group instruction or as a literacy center activity as it allows for both differentiation and multiple opportunities for response.
