Put identifying sight words into practice with the Make, Take & Teach basketball activity for reading sentences containing sight words. When you download this activity you will receive 54 basketballs containing simple sentences with the first 25 Dolch sight words. To assemble the activity, simply print the basketballs single-sided to double-sided. To play, just place the balls sentence side down on the table and have the students take turns choosing a ball and reading the sentence. If a player chooses the “Penalty” ball all the balls must be put back in the pile. If the player chooses the “Swish” ball, he/she can choose another ball. The player with the most balls at the end of time wins the game.
